So, I made it back from China (obviously), and I've spent the last 3 weeks adjusting to my old life again, getting ready to move, and doing art for various cons coming up.
Before I left, I was actually on a roll, art-wise. I got me some watercolor pencils to travel with, and I banged out a good 15 pieces before I left, none of which I got to scan. They weren't anything terribly fancy--mostly just sketches really, practicing with watercolors and such--but while I was in Fuzhou, I gave them all away as gifts to the kids in my class. Additionally, I had NO time at all to draw while I was there, so lugging around all my supplies with me everywhere was ultimately kind of pointless. Ah well. I feel good I was able to give away my stuff to those kids. It was a good exercise in being able to Let Things Go. Which is also good, considering I'm moving again very soon with two other roommates in September. After living by myself for 2 years, I need the practice in compromising.
Anyhoo, I'm busy, but I'm back. I hope to be posting more art, and also some photos I took in China. See you around.
